Catchment Study
A one day study of the upper reaches of the Nerang River. This section of the river supplies water to Hinze Dam - the water supply and storage facility for the Gold Coast.
Mountain to Mouth
An extended study of the Nerang River from the source to the sea. Land usage, pollution types and management issues are discussed. Includes water quality testing at a variety of sites.
Forest Comparison
An examination of a variety of forest types in the Springbrook / Numinbah Valley area with an emphasis on physical parameters and the resultant influence on forest type and complexity.
Coastal Vegetation
An examination of Coastal environment including Dune Studies, Littoral Rainforest, Mangroves, Coastal Heath and Rock pools involving collection of data of physical parameters and analysis.
Tourism
An examination of the types of tourist activities that operate in the Numinbah Valley and Springbrook area and their effect on the local environment.
